Review: Anton Chekov's The Duel

Just saw Anton Chekov’s The Duel (2010) entirely because it stars Andrew Scott (whom I know as Jim Moriarty in Sherlock). I know absolutely nothing of Chekov or Russian literature (I was an English Writing major, and that subject…wasn’t covered), so my comments are those of a complete novice, but I’m going to try to give my impressions anyway.
