With you! Mostly. I didn't think it was too short. I get that they had to tell a lot of details, but I really think this whole thing should have been two movies, not three. The main story kept getting lost in meandering asides about what this or that character is doing.
But with you on the rest, especially the Tauriel/Kili thing. That KILLED ME. And when she said "If this is love, I want no part of it", I think I died about, because it's not what I was expecting, but it makes sense: There's a bitterness between elves and dwarves and having her be the perfect example of everytyhing we, the audience, want... nah. (And I'm dying to know what happens next with her. I desperately want an in-character fanfic about Tauriel after this. Where is she during LotR? I NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS.
