I must really fail because I didn't even know Beekeeper's Apprentice was the beginning of a series. But apparently it's really freakin' long. We'll see if I can actually finish a series that massive or not.

I couldn't agree more. The female characters in stories, and perhaps this is especially true for brilliant ones, often just seem...rather dull in comparison to the male ones. Or at least, not what I like in a character. Not always, but in general.
I haven't seen that much of Bones, but again, Bones the character just doesn't seem that interesting. Perhaps I'm being overly critical, though.
