Zootopia!

Oh my god, the animated Disney movie Zootopia is so good, you guys! A really effective allegory for sexism, racism, the politics of fear and how the media can amplify it, the role of the police force, and how working together to solve problems is the only true path forward. Animation can be so great at exploring these ideas, and this movie about a mammals-only city works to prove that. Highly recommended!

Huh, I'm glad you posted this - I'd already dismissed it just looking at the poster (I know, but there's so MUCH out there, and it just looked like 'standard kiddie movie' to me *g*) but having now seen the trailer, it actually looks quite appealing. Thanks!

I loved that movie and will go again on Tuesday. :) Thought at first that they were a bit heavy-handed with the message, but it got much more nuanced as the movie progressed and they threw in so many interesting topics and good messages! Very effective and clever, I think. :)

Also, I love foxes! And we got an awesome German dubbing. *g*
